My wine tastings are different. Rather than the typical wine tasting organized by region, my tastings are organized by themes and the ways we actually drink wine!
By the grape (what most of us are used to!)
Using restaurant wine lists (you’re paying a lot - get something you’ll love!)
Wines made by women (because we want to support the ladies!)
Organic and natural wines (because we want a healthy planet!)
Mountain and beach wines (vacay wines!)
My tastings include thoughtfully made (by independent producers), premium wines. Also included are several savory “snacks” specially chosen to complement the wines. Wine is best enjoyed and understood with food.

Salut, I’m Tara and I love wine, food, traveling, cooking, reading, live music and walking the city streets of Paris, NYC, Lisbon, Rome, Tokyo, Istanbul AND countryside paths in England, New Mexico, California, Japan, Sicily, Provence, the French Alps and Oklahoma (where I grew up). I love trying new wines and traveling the world to visit wine producers! Their dedication, work ethic and artistry inspires me; so while doing job #1 in NYC (TV & audio producer/director) I decided to also study wine to become a sommelier! I started with the Court of Master Sommeliers and then got my accreditation with the WSET [Advanced, Level 3 Merit Award certification, Accreditation #600/1511/1] and the French Wine Guild.
What I love about wine is that it brings people together. While selling wine at Terry’s Wine Shop in the West Village of NYC, I learned that almost everyone I talked to in the shop wanted to know the story behind a wine: who made it and how it was made. Not how many points it had, what fruit it tasted like or what wine mag top 100 list it was on. Every (good) wine has a story and that’s what I want to share with you!
